Let’s take a close look on what the development team has accomplished, and what we are still working on to complete so far.

:exclamation:Please be aware that this serves as a product development highlight, and is not a release note. The products below are still either being tested rigorously or in the development process. Changes in product planning and priorities can happen within October, thus the upcoming release note may differ somewhat from the content of this update.

:zap: Mainnet Upgrade to version TFGrid v3.7.1

After a successful TFDAO voting last week, We are happy to announce that we are currently upgrading the TFGrid to version 3.7.1. This might cause some downtime on Graphql and the platforms that rely on it, but it will not affect any uptime of the nodes. Please be aware that after the upgrade:

  • Invalid Node public configurations will be reset. If your node is affected, please set up a proper public configuration for your node.
  • Invalid Farm Public IP configurations will be reset. If your farm is affected, please set up proper public IP configuration.
  • Invalid Farm Name will be either reformatted or a new name will be generated.

TFGrid 3.7.1 is a bump version of TFGrid 3.7.0 will includes updates, improvements and fixes of numerous grid components as described in our library. We will keep you posted once the upgrade has been finalized.

:zap: TFGrid v3.8.0 Progress Highlights

Some of the most exciting new features of TFGrid products are successfully added and are being tested as part of the next v3.8.0 release, such as

:zap: Freeflow Twin v1.6.0

New exciting features are being released on the next version of Freeflow, including but not limited to:

  • Whisper (chat feature): Now you can mention a specific @username on Group chats

  • You can now upload, edit, and save code files (markdown, HTML) directly inside your freeflow twin’s Quantum (Freeflow’s in-app file storage and document editing tool).

  • You can now start a ‘Comment Thread’: Multiple levels of comments on Flow (social media feature) have been added. Comments can now have replies and these can also be liked.

:zap: TFGrid Dashboard v1.1.6

Currently, if a farmer would like to add public IP’s one has to add them one by one. If a farmer has a large range to add, this can be tedious. We have now implemented an ability to add a range, which then gets calculated into all the available IP’s within that range.

:zap: TF Playground v1.4.6

  • Algorand weblet deployment improvement
On this release users will be able to deploy Algorand weblet via TF Playground, which would support ‘non relay’, ;indexer’, ‘archival’, and ‘participant’ types of node deployment.

So many exciting improvements and new things are being implemented this month.
Some other (but not limited to) TFGrid v3.8.0 improvements that are being implemented are described below:

:zap: Improved Capacity Plannning

A better capacity planning mechanism will be implemented on chain as a way to deployment contracts more efficiently. In brief, with the new scheme, the chain would be able to calculate, set up and choose the best choice on how node deployment contracts are going to be made, based on required resources, policy, and node status.

We will talk about it in more depth via Community call next Monday and forum post in the upcoming weeks.

:zap: TFT - Ethereum Bridge

We are currently implementing a bridge that would hub TFT onto Ethereum blockchain

:zap: TFT - Polygon Bridge

We are currently implementing a bridge that would hub TFT onto Polyglon blockchain

TF Dashboard’s New Pricing Calculator UI

We are currently implementing a new grid pricing calculator UI onto the dashboard based on this TFGrid Pricing excel sheet
