Hello ThreeFold community,
Here is where things stand as we close out May and where the team is headed. Q2 is about delivery and things are moving.
Hero OS
Hero OS is the team’s main priority right now. Testing has started and we are heads down getting it ready. In June, the team will be presenting Hero OS at CM50, the Cooperatives and Mutuals Leadership Circle facilitated by the International Cooperative Alliance, which brings together leading cooperative businesses from around the world. It is a milestone we have been working toward and are genuinely excited about.
If you want to be among the first to test Hero OS, reach out to us directly.
Project Mycelium
Work on Project Mycelium continues in parallel. The marketplace is on track for July 1, 2026, and the team is actively closing commercial deals that will bring significantly more capacity to the network in the coming months. More details will be shared as things are confirmed.
A reminder on the current state:
- Existing v3 deployments remain online for now. The team is working on migration tooling and will communicate clearly before any changes affect running workloads.
- Nodes need a minimum of 6 vcores, 16 GB RAM, and 1 TB SSD to qualify for baseline rewards.
- DDR3 and HDD-only nodes are not eligible for baseline rewards but can still earn utilization rewards when their capacity is actively used.
- Farmerbot continues to work for now, but farmers should expect nodes to trend toward always-on as utilization picks up.
TFT to SPORE - Deadline June 30
If you have TFT and are considering converting to SPORE, the preferential rate of 10 SPORE per 1 TFT closes on June 30, 2026. After that date, the rate will be set by market prices. SPORE has a guaranteed floor of $0.01 USD via the Dutch auction mechanism.
To convert, you need to bring your TFT onto TFChain first, regardless of where it currently sits, whether that is Stellar, BSC, TF Connect, MetaMask, or elsewhere.
Do not wait too long on this one.
