Getting from ThreeFold to Project Mycelium has been years in the making. We are now in the final stretch and Q2 is where it becomes real. Here is where things stand.
Entering Q2
More than 750 nodes are registered on Project Mycelium and farmers have been accumulating SPORE since January 1. Thank you to every farmer who made the move, this is a meaningful foundation for what comes next.
The team is fully focused on deliverables. We are taking the time needed to build something solid, and we are not far from the finish line.
Project Mycelium Marketplace
The team is actively working on getting the marketplace live. There is still alignment work happening internally to make sure what we ship is solid and ready. ThreeFold farmers who have registered on migrate.projectmycelium.com will have priority access when it comes online. We will keep you posted as things progress.
On the TFT to SPORE conversion: the issues reported by community members after the April 10 deadline have been resolved. If you ran into problems earlier, please try again and we are here to assist.
Hero
Hero OS is a private AI environment that runs on Project Mycelium infrastructure, making it one of the primary sources of real demand on the network meaning your nodes will be put to work.
What makes it different from other AI tools is how it handles your data. Most agent systems send large amounts of business context to external AI providers, making them slow, expensive, and hard to keep private. Hero keeps your data inside your own environment and only uses AI to understand intent. Your data stays in your system.
Alpha testing is progressing well and the team is pushing toward a test release. Everyone who has already registered as a beta tester will be contacted. If you would also like to participate, please reach out and we would be happy to add you to the list.
Running Project Mycelium as a Cooperative
We are moving toward a cooperative form of governance for Project Mycelium. This means that the community will have a strong role in how the project is run and managed. This is still taking shape and we would love to hear from people who believe in what we are building and who want to be part of it.

What’s Next
