The New and Improved TF Grid Dashboard UI/UX
We’re excited to dive into the latest features and functionalities of the newly-upgraded ThreeFold Grid Dashboard – your go-to platform for managing and deploying on the TF Grid. The team has been working hard to bring forward a simple and intuitive user experience.
The updated user interface efficiently organizes all functions, grouping them under the most frequently used features. For instance, essential deployment components such as node ID, VM, Weblet, and the contract list are now conveniently located within the Deploy feature. Another great addition – when searching for a node to deploy on top of, you will now see a robust amount of information to make your choice easier.
Let’s take a closer look at some key sections that can enhance your experience:
The first page of the new dashboard – not only do you have node stats but also a few shortcuts to the most-used functionalities.
Grid Status
Stay informed about the health of the TF Grid by checking out the Grid Status page. Real-time updates ensure you are always in-the-know about the status of the grid.
Node Stats and Monitoring
Head to the Node Stats section for a detailed overview of your nodes. Get insights ranging from how many nodes you have to contract details. Additionally, the Node Monitoring tool provides a deep dive into node metrics.
The new dashboard not only gives you information on the number of nodes online to the number of contracts, and also the number of dedicated nodes and nodes that have GPU.
Deploy Section
Deploying resources has never been easier with the revamped Deploy section. Everything you need for deployment is now neatly categorized. Choose from VMs, Orchestrators, Applications, Dedicated Machines, and more.
Node Filtering
We improved the node filtering on the Dashboard for a smoother UX.
New Sections
We set new sections for virtual machines and orchestrators. This should improve the browsing experience on the Dashboard.
Revamped interface for dedicated machines
There has been some changes in the dedicated machines interface. Users can now have a clear view of the filters and the time it takes to reserve the nodes is also greatly improved.
Solutions
There is now a separate page for applications. Note that we changed the name from solutions to applications.
When searching for a node, you will not just see the node ID like in the old playground, but you will also see its resource details (CPU, HDD, SDD & Memory), the certification of the node, and whether it is shared or not, the country, the farm name and the node serial number. This will make it so much easier to choose a node.
Contract Management
Effortlessly manage your contracts with the Contract List, offering a comprehensive view of contract names and associated costs. The contracts page has been divided into 3 sections: node contracts, gateway contracts, and rent contracts.
SSH Key Management
There is now a separate section for ssh key management. Note that we will be allowing more keys in upcoming releases.
Farmer Page
The farmer page has also been improved. It should now be easier for farmers to manage and consult their farms.
Farm Searching
We also improved how the searching for farms is done.
Updated Simulator
The simulator went through a significant rewrite for a better user experience.
TF Chain
Find your TF Chain details, including Twin ID, relay, wallet address, and a QR code for TFT transfers to top up your balance for deployment, where, unlike the old dashboard, you would need to choose the balance to transfer.
Profile Page
You can access your profile page as a TFChain subsection.
Improved DAO Page
The DAO page has seen significant improvements in rendering and visiting GEP pages.
Minting Explorer
The minting explorer got fully implemented in the new dashboard. This allows for smoother UX as users can access many ThreeFold features all on the same Dashboard.
Transfer tokens on TFchain and stellar have seen a full rewrite and also lots of hardening
TFChain Transfers Update
Transfers on TFchain can now be done with the address or the twin ID.
Stellar-TFChain Transfers
Withdraws and deposits between Stellar and TFChain are now available in the subsection TF Token Bridge.
