Lately I’ve been playing with some scripts to pull data about nodes on the Grid. This can help get a sense for how and where the Grid is growing. Here’s a look at the last week (well, technically 8 days: August 7-15). These are new “active” nodes, which are node ids that were created in that time period and were online sometime in the last day of the period. We don’t actually know if these are new physical hardware or maybe new node ids generated for existing nodes for some reason. In the future, checking node serial numbers might be a way to refine the results even more.
