  • Introducing the ‘Internals’ Section in the Manual!

We are thrilled to announce the addition of the ‘Internals’ section to the TF Manual, providing valuable insights into the system components of the ThreeFold ecosystem. This dedicated section, presented as part of the developers’ book, offers a partial list of system components, with the initial contents focusing on the Reliable Message Bus (RMB).

Discover the world of RMB with an in-depth ‘Introduction to RMB’ and delve into its specifications, functionalities, and architecture through the ‘RMB Specs.’ The ‘RMB Peer’ and ‘RMB Relay’ further enrich your understanding of this crucial system component.

As we continue to develop and enhance the TF Manual, content will be added progressively to the ‘Internals’ section, offering a comprehensive resource for developers and tech enthusiasts.

Updates and Improvements of Existing Articles

  • Updated Section intros

The TF Manual has undergone significant updates, with each section now featuring more detailed and comprehensive introductions. These enhanced intros provide a clearer overview of the content covered in each section, making it easier for users to navigate and find the information they need.

For example, the intros of the General Information, Farmers, Developers, and System Administrators sections are now enhanced for greater clarity. These revamped introductions offer a comprehensive overview of the content covered in each section, streamlining your navigation and information gathering.

  • FAQ Now Includes New TF Dashboard Relay Setup!

We are thrilled to announce that the FAQ section on TF Manual has been updated with a short guide on setting up the TF Dashboard Relay. This comprehensive additions provide step-by-step instructions on how to configure the relay directly from the TF Dashboard, ensuring a smooth and efficient setup process for users. Note that this concerns users with (older) accounts where the TF Dashboard Relay hasn’t been set previously. A big thank you to Drew Smith for his input on the matter.

The new introduction provides a clear and concise overview of GraphQL’s key concepts, including schemas, types, queries, and mutations, setting the stage for a deeper understanding of its capabilities.

  • Mermaid Graph now added to TFT Bridges Section

TFT Bridge section in the TF Manual has received a significant upgrade! Now, thanks to the integration of the powerful Mermaid tool, we present a new interactive graph that provides a dynamic visualization of TFT bridges. Discover a clearer and more engaging representation of how TFT tokens bridge between different blockchain networks.

After receiving great feedback from Robert, a very active TF community member on this forum post, we decided to make a single instance Nextcloud guide out of the more elaborate Nextcloud Redundant Deployment guide.

This guide will provide users with a comprehensive walkthrough, empowering them to easily and efficiently deploy Nextcloud on the TFGrid infrastructure. We will notify the community with a link when this guide is published on the manual.
