How to add HDD disk space to a node [resolved]

could s/one tell me how to add HDD storage for a node, in my case:
GMKtec NucBox M6 Ultra AMD Ryzen

i just connected a wiped usb external harddisk to my node and rebooted but nothing changes / no hdd storage shows up on the node.

any help / point to documentation would be greatly appreciated.
