After thorough development and testing of ThreeFold Grid 3.18, we are excited to announce that we’re ready to begin the release process on Mainnet.
For this release to go live, we’re calling upon all our farmers to cast their votes before Tuesday, November 4th at 10 AM CEST on the Dashboard or in the TF Connect app under DAO.
Here’s a quick overview of what’s new across the ThreeFold stack:
This release focuses on performance and stability improvements, bug fixes, enhanced developer experience (tools, configuration, and testing), and an improved overall UI/UX.
TFChain
Twin Ownership Transfer
A new two-party ownership transfer flow has been introduced for twins — especially useful if a mnemonic controlling a twin may have been leaked. This allows the owner to quickly and securely transfer control to a new account.
Zos
- Fetches configuration from the zos-config repository instead of hardcoded values
- WireGuard support for ZosLight
- Caching configuration to reduce GitHub requests
- Fewer open chain connections for improved efficiency
- Internet connection testing now includes speed test and iPerf
- Email submission port support for nodes
- Public config access for ZosLight nodes
- Fix for integrity check in ZUI
- GPU info now includes VRAM specifications
- Fix for index out of range issue while booting nodes
- Support for multiple hub URLs in bootstrap
RMB
- Improved TTL handling
- Fixed flaw in Go Peer’s Relay Failover and Selection Strategy
- Fixed deadlock, stall, and timeout issues under heavy load
- Added request tagging support
- Fixed connection stalling appearing on nodes
Mycelium
- Added support for SOCKS5 proxies
- Auto-discovery of open proxies across the network
- Local proxy forwarding to a chosen or auto-discovered remote
- Deployed public SOCKS5 proxies on ThreeFold public nodes
MyceliumFlut
- Complete UI overhaul
- Added VPN support for macOS and Windows
