GEP: TF Grid Mainnet release 3.16

Dear friends,

After much work from our tireless developers and successfully testing TF Grid 3.16 on testnet, we are ready to start the release process of this version of the Grid on Mainnet.

For this to pass, we’re calling upon all of our farmers to vote before Monday, March 24th at 10 AM CET on the dashboard or in the TF Connect app under ‘DAO’.

Here’s what’s new and improved in TF Grid 3.16:

Zos:

A new stability update for Zos!

  • Nodes now show the number of active connections (helps with monitoring).
  • A new way to check node locations for data collection.
  • Removed some unused network settings that were causing deployment limits.
  • Fixed an issue with reserving and deploying servers with certain GPUs (especially Nvidia 4090).
  • Improved how nodes communicate with the blockchain.
  • Made the software update process better.
  • Fixed a problem that was causing some communication delays between nodes.

Zoslight:

First prerelease for ZosLight! :tada:

This update makes it easier to deploy Zos on cloud providers like Hetzner and OVH by improving network compatibility.

What’s new?

  • ZosLight now supports public configurations.
  • Fixed issues with detecting GPUs.
  • You can now deploy on Hetzner and OVH (details here).
  • Fixed problems with reserving and deploying certain GPUs (especially Nvidia 4090).
  • Fixed how private IPs are displayed.
  • Added a way to check node locations.
  • Improved the update process.
  • Fixed a bug that was causing some communication delays between nodes.

Grid-Proxy:

Grid-Proxy Update (v0.16.6)! :rocket:

This update improves how nodes and their hardware details are tracked.

What’s new?

  • Fixed how GPUs are counted and displayed correctly.
  • Reworked the GPU tracker for more accurate information.
  • Improved how node locations are identified.
  • Fixed an issue where memory types were shown incorrectly on the dashboard.
  • Added filters to easily search for nodes based on their features.

These updates make the system more reliable and easier to use! :tada:

ThreeFold Connect App:

ThreeFold Connect Update (v4.2.0)! :rocket:

This update includes improvements and fixes to make things smoother!

Highlights:

  • Added support for TFChain to Stellar bridge.
  • Added support for Stellar to Solana bridge.
  • Add initial support for V4 (creating v4 farms).
  • Enabled KYC verification for imported wallets.
  • Added a refresh indicator on screens for better usability.

Sdk-ts:

SDK-TS Update (v2.7.0)! :rocket:

This release includes fixes and improvements to enhance the experience!

Key updates:

  • Added support for ZosLight deployments in the client.
  • Seamless ZosLight integration in the dashboard for easier use.
