Hdd Spin down on ZOS?

Hy, is hdd Spin down activated in ZOS? This would help with power consumption, until the hdd is actualy used, anyone knows?

Maybe, activating hibernation and waking up to report capacity every couple of hours, is something that should be looked at, maybe its easier than implementing the wake ok lan controled by a PC/nuc on the network

If the BIOS and disk support “spin down if not used” this should also happen in Zero-OS. It allows for this to happen, just like any other OS.
