We’d like to first apologize for the confusion surrounding the rollout of our V3 minting logic. There’s quite honestly been some miscommunication within the team regarding how and when this would be implemented, and we’d like to own that mistake.
For now, all farmers will continue earning tokens according to the V2 logic. The good news is that V2 rewards are currently higher than V3 rewards for the same hardware configurations. As explained in this post, V2 rewards diminish over time, while V3 rewards are constant for five years.
This shift has been carefully considered and put forward for reasons also discussed in the post I’ve linked above. We are going to take a little more time to make sure we have all the details right, and target V3 to coincide with the Grid 3.0 release.
