However, I can’t seem to deploy a disk for the created vm:

It’s not currently possible to attach disks to already running VMs through the playground interface. Zos can handle this and I think it may be possible using Terraform. There’s an open issue to add this feature to the playgound.

I was initially confused by the interface as well, it does seem to be possible to deploy a vm with a disk from the start.
Sure thing. I see where the confusion is coming from. In fact, after you deploy, you’re now seeing the interface to deploy a new VM, which is why options like adding a disk are available.
